Cambodia's Health Minister visited border guards, expressing deep gratitude for their bravery and sacrifices in defending the nation. Representing the government and people, he lauded their dedication and highlighted the importance of medical support.
Minister of Health, Prof. Dr. Chheang Ra, expressed his deepest admiration and gratitude for the heroic spirit, patriotism, and spirit of sacrifice of our soldiers, who are full of bravery, strong will, and patriotism, willing to sacrifice themselves to protect the motherland. The Minister made these remarks while leading a delegation from the Ministry of Health to visit, inquire about the well-being of, and present gifts to the officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers of the 51st Infantry Division, who are stationed along the border line, on September 19, 2026. The Minister also conveyed the greetings of Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate, and Samdech Kittipol Bun Rany Hun Sen, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and Madam Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet, to all our heroic soldiers, especially those stationed along the border line. Prof. Dr. Chheang Ra stated, "On behalf of the Ministry of Health, we express our deepest admiration and gratitude for the heroic deeds, patriotism, and spirit of sacrifice of the army, with the strongest will, of the commanders, officers, non-commissioned officers, and all soldiers who have sacrificed their physical strength, mental strength, fresh blood, and lives in the defense of Cambodia's sovereignty and territorial integrity, protecting the motherland and the people. Your heroism is an excellent example for the entire nation and a source of pride for all of us." He added that this visit is a manifestation of the spirit of unity, solidarity, and close cooperation in the spirit of "the rear supporting the front." Behind our heroic soldiers, he noted, are the government, civil servants, and Khmer citizens from all walks of life who always stand with them, care about their well-being, and remember the sacrifices of the combatants who have fulfilled their duty of defending the nation. Furthermore, the medical team, as the "rear front," is a strong shield protecting the health of the soldiers, always standing shoulder-to-shoulder with them to support their health with medical supplies, equipment, medicines, and emergency services, always taking care of the health of our heroic soldiers in all circumstances. This great solidarity is a tremendous force for our nation. We are determined to unite as one to ensure Cambodia is strong, peaceful, and has a glorious future for our children and grandchildren. On this occasion, the Minister advised our heroic soldiers to pay attention to maintaining their health, protecting their health, and addressing health issues caused by food poisoning or alcohol poisoning. He urged them to strictly adhere to hygiene practices, wash their hands before eating, store and consume food safely, use sanitary latrines, and especially consume food that is "low in salt, low in fat, and low in sugar," while avoiding tobacco and alcohol. In case of illness or health problems, they should promptly go to the nearest health facility for timely examination and treatment. To contribute to supporting the front lines, the Ministry of Health brought gifts including medicines, wound dressing kits, food supplies, and necessary funds to meet the needs of the soldiers on the front lines.
