Cambodia Enhances Worker Skills Through Occupational Safety and Health Training

The Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training organized its 10th training session on "Foundations of Occupational Safety and Health" for 40 enterprise medical officers and safety and health personnel from enterprises, companies, and factories. The event took place on the afternoon of July 22, 2026, at the Occupational Safety and Health Training Center (OSHTC). During this significant training, instructors from the Department of Occupational Medicine presented on high-risk machinery safety, boiler safety systems, and the use of fire extinguishers. Participants also practically assessed the effectiveness of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety belts, helmets, and shoes. They conducted hands-on experiments with falling from heights and using full body harnesses for high-altitude work safety. Furthermore, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) was practiced, which plays a crucial role in rescuing employees and promoting occupational safety and health. The training also connected participants with the digitalization advancements in occupational safety and health training in Cambodia. The Occupational Safety and Health Training Center consistently demonstrates a high commitment to enhancing the capabilities of stakeholders in OSH through quality and effective training, integrating both theoretical studies and practical application with modern training equipment in line with the evolving world of work.
