Vietnam Shifts Focus from Developing Marine Economy to Building Strong Sea-Based Nation

The new approach emphasizes advancing marine scientific research, fostering innovation in maritime technologies, and integrating digital technologies into sectors like aquaculture and tourism. This is expected to enable efficient use of maritime space and maximize economic value while minimizing environmental impact. Strengthening coastal defense capabilities and enhancing cooperation among maritime law enforcement agencies are also considered crucial elements for establishing Vietnam's status as a sea-based nation.
