The Skills Development Fund (SDF) held a meeting on September 9th with the National Employment and Vocational Agency (NEA) and leading private recruitment agencies to strengthen cooperation in developing vocational training programs that align with labor market demands. The meeting, held at the SDF headquarters, was attended by representatives from the NEA and executives from recruitment agencies including CoGen, Krawma, HRINC, Aplus, Top Recruitment, and GOS-Airport. According to the SDF, the discussion primarily focused on collecting concrete data regarding recruitment trends, challenging positions to fill, and skill shortages. This data will serve as the foundation for designing training programs that accurately meet employer needs. Furthermore, the SDF promoted its "My Skills, My Job" program and its co-financing mechanism with recruitment agencies. This initiative aims to support returning overseas workers in receiving vocational training and securing employment opportunities within the country. Through this collaboration, the SDF and its partners have agreed to regularly exchange labor market information. The SDF plans to compile and analyze data on specific skill demands to serve as a fundamental basis for developing training programs that respond to these needs, thereby contributing to the enhancement of Cambodia's workforce skills and the nation's economic development.
