Tay Ninh Province Accelerates Integration into Global Supply Chains

Tay Ninh Province in southern Vietnam, bordering Cambodia, is accelerating its integration into global value chains by leveraging its strategic geographical advantages, developed industrial base, and production capacity. The province is focusing on strengthening integration in supply chains, logistics, import-export, and e-commerce. This initiative represents a significant step towards enhancing the competitiveness of local businesses and establishing their position in the international market. Through proactive trade promotion activities, Tay Ninh Province aims to create broader cooperation spaces and boost sustainable economic growth for the region. Under Vietnam's one-party system, provincial governments consider economic growth a crucial element in achieving national objectives. Especially in pursuit of export-led economic development, such regional supply chain strengthening measures are closely aligned with the country's economic growth strategy. Furthermore, in Vietnam, which has strong economic ties with China, border regions like Tay Ninh are increasing in importance as logistics hubs, suppliers of products to China, or for cross-border trade to third countries. In the past, various trade promotion activities have been observed across Vietnam, including a 50.3 billion VND trade promotion initiative in Quang Tri Province, an OCOP product fair in Vinh Long Province, harvest festivals and trade promotion events for longan in Hung Yen Province, and the ITE HCMC international tourism and trade promotion event in Ho Chi Minh City. Tay Ninh Province's efforts echo these nationwide movements and are expected to contribute to the overall improvement of Vietnam's international economic competitiveness.
