Cambodian People's Party Holds Rally in Takeo Province to Boost Party Strength
On September 5, 2026, the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) held a meeting in Takeo Province to strengthen its party base. Ahead of the 2027 commune/sangkat council elections, party members were instructed to improve public service delivery, meticulously manage party membership lists, encourage voter registration, and address the needs of local residents.
On the afternoon of September 5, 2026, Dr. Chea Vandeth, a member of the Central Committee and head of the Party's working group for Takeo Province, presided over a meeting to review the party's work results for August in Takeo Province. The meeting took place at the headquarters of the Cambodian People's Party in Takeo Province, with the participation of His Excellency and Her Excellency, the deputy heads, members of the Party's working group for communes, districts, and villages, as well as members of the commune/sangkat councils from all 100 communes/sangkat in the province. On this occasion, Dr. Chea Vandeth expressed his gratitude and high appreciation for the efforts of the working group at all levels in carrying out their duties. Concurrently, Dr. Chea Vandeth provided important recommendations and guidance to the working groups of the 10 districts and all members present. He urged them to actively and fully implement the common plan put forth by the Cambodian People's Party, aiming towards the election of commune/sangkat councilors for the 6th mandate in 2027. He also emphasized that commune/sangkat level party members must continue to strengthen the quality and efficiency of public service delivery to citizens, ensuring it is prompt and transparent. Dr. Chea Vandeth further stated that it is crucial to manage the party membership list accurately and comprehensively, and to continue encouraging and facilitating citizens to register to vote in a timely manner. He called for vigorous efforts to garner party support to achieve victory in the upcoming election. Additionally, he stressed that the working groups and local authorities must continue to pay close attention to engaging directly with the grassroots to help alleviate and resolve the various hardships faced by the people in a timely manner.
