This workshop marks a significant step towards enhancing digitalization and efficiency in NSSO’s service delivery. The LSSO App is designed to serve as a platform for citizens to easily access social security benefits and related information, while the online employer contribution payment system provides a means for businesses to comply with regulations and submit contributions smoothly. Laos, under its one-party system, aims to promote economic development and improve social welfare, with the modernization of its social security system being a key pillar. In particular, for Laos, which has close ties with China and Vietnam, the digitalization of such administrative services is expected not only to improve the convenience of citizens' lives but also to enhance government transparency and efficiency.
