Vietnam Celebrates 81st National Day with Events Abroad

The Socialist Republic of Vietnam celebrated its 81st anniversary of National Day. In observance, the Vietnamese Embassy in Cuba solemnly organized a commemorative ceremony on August 31st in the capital, Havana. Approximately 300 representatives from Cuban Party, State, Government, National Assembly, political-social organizations, and the diplomatic corps attended the event. Similar celebrations for National Day were held by Vietnamese Embassies in Tanzania, which also marked the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Ethiopia. In northeastern Thailand, events were held to commemorate Vietnam's 81st National Day and the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties with Thailand. The Vietnamese Delegation to the United Nations also hosted an event to celebrate the tradition of the diplomatic sector and National Day. These commemorative events serve as opportunities to share Vietnam's independence and development domestically and internationally, and to deepen friendly relations with stakeholders from various countries. Vietnam, under its one-party system, has achieved economic growth and promotes a foreign policy that emphasizes international relations, with these celebrations being part of that initiative.
