Salween River water level reaches warning level in Hpa-an Township

The water level of the Salween River has reached the warning level for Hpa-an Township, according to a release from the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology at 6:00 PM on August 7. It is expected to rise by about half a foot within the next day and continue to remain above the warning level for Hpa-an Township. Therefore, the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology has issued a warning urging residents living near the riverbanks and in low-lying areas within Hpa-an Township to evacuate to safe locations away from flood risks.
