Northern Thailand: Mae Sai River Embankment Reinforcement Nears 80% Completion Ahead of Rainy Season

In Mae Sai District, Chiang Rai Province, northern Thailand, reinforcement work on the Mae Sai River embankment is underway, following flood damage from Typhoon Yagi last September. Led by the 3rd Army Area, the project has reached over 80% completion and aims for a June end date, partly due to concerns over increased water pressure from permanent concrete walls built in a neighboring country.
