Thai Deputy Education Minister Inspects Remote Schools for Facility Improvement and Music Education Support

Deputy Minister of Education, Akaranan Kanakitthianan, visited schools located in remote areas of Khon Kaen province. The inspection aimed to assess the repair status of dilapidated and damaged school buildings, urging prompt action. He also, on behalf of Mahidol University, donated pianos to each school to promote music education and support students' potential development. Akaranan emphasized that the Ministry of Education prioritizes addressing educational disparities and improving conditions in remote schools. He stated that the safety of school buildings and the well-being of students are paramount issues that must be resolved to ensure a secure and conducive learning environment. Regarding the piano donations, he expressed his hope that students would have the opportunity to learn music, discover their talents, and develop their abilities alongside their academic studies. "Remote schools will not be neglected. We will listen to all problems from the field, including infrastructure, shortages of resources, and the welfare of everyone involved, to ensure that support reaches where it is needed. We will not leave anyone behind," the Deputy Minister stated. During the visit, the Deputy Minister inspected the progress of school building repairs and donated pianos at Wiang Wongkot Wittayakhom School in Wiang Kao District and Phu Wieng Wittayakhom School in Phu Wieng District. He then visited Nong Saeng Wittayasan School in Nong Rua District and Nong Bua Community School in Ban Fang District to hear about their challenges and recommendations from educational personnel. This feedback is expected to inform future educational support initiatives.
