Creative Industry : MOI Union Minister tours in Yangon

Union Minister for Information U Htein Lin visited Myanma Radio and Television (MRTV) Yangon on Saturday morning to oversee the work implementation of the private broadcasters, jointly operated with MRTV. The Union Minister inspected the control room operation of Myansat DTH Broadcasting and Distribution Office and installation of broadcast equipment. At Shwe FM, the Union Minister inspected office operation, technical status of audio equipment and studios, broadcasting condition. He also viewed the operation of live broadcasting vehicles of MRTV, the transmission of programmes using playout system and the monitoring and control of audio and video signals. He also inspected 9 Meter Earth Station operation, satellite communication system, 200-metre tower control room operation, broadcasting status and technical arrangements of Mandalay FM. Subsequently, the Union Minister inspected the television channels and services, programme broadcasting, and technical operations at the Sky Net Headquarters in Botahtaung Township, as well as programme production and presentation and studio operations at Shwe Htut Tin Compound in Tamwe Township. During the inspections, the Union Minister stressed to emphasize on programmes that support livelihoods of rural communities, as well as up-to-date educational and knowledge based programmes. He also focused on effective use of digital media platforms. In the afternoon, the Union Minister visited Myanmar Motion Picture Organization in Bahan Township and met with the Patron, Chairman and Executive Committee members. The meeting discussed the development of the creative industry, and encouraged artists and relevant organizations to fulfill their roles and strive to produce quality artistic works that benefit the country and its people. The Union Minister and party later visited the Myanmar Motion Picture Museum.
