Thailand Honors SME Trailblazers Eyeing Global Markets

BANGKOK, Thailand – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce Suphajee Suthumpun attended the 18th SME National Awards on August 7, 2026, to recognize outstanding Thai enterprises and support their global competitiveness. The Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion organized the event at the Millennium Hilton Bangkok, with Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul presiding. The program included the National SME Excellence Awards, Hall of Fame recognitions, and the fourth SME Provincial Champion Awards. Seven partner agencies also provided special privileges to support Thai businesses in expanding internationally. ​The government considers small and medium-sized enterprises the foundation of Thailand’s economy, driving job creation and income distribution. By fostering cooperation among public, private, and financial sectors, the state aims to ensure micro and regional enterprises have equal access to knowledge, technology, and capital to adapt to global economic changes.
