Two Arrested for Selling P6 Million Worth of Fake Gold Discs to Foreigners

The Philippine National Police–Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP–ACG) has arrested two suspects for allegedly selling fake gold discs worth P6 million to two foreign businessmen. PNP-ACG Director Maj. Gen. Wilson Asueta stated that the arrests occurred on July 1 at a hotel in Pasay City. The suspects were identified only by aliases. This incident highlights a growing concern over scams targeting foreign investors in the Philippines.
