Indonesian President-elect Prabowo Subianto has revealed his preferred 'healing' methods amidst his busy schedule as he prepares to take office for the 2024-2029 term. His most favored method is swimming, which he described as 'meditation in water.' Prabowo cited psychological perspectives suggesting that swimming relates to a fundamental human state, akin to a fetus being protected by amniotic fluid. He explained that just as a shower can refresh one when feeling stressed, swimming enhances this restorative effect. In addition to swimming, Prabowo also identified 'sleep' and 'reading' as crucial healing methods. He mentioned his ability to fall asleep even for short durations of 10 to 20 minutes, whether in a car, helicopter, or airplane. Regarding reading, he expressed a fondness for historical genres. A favorite book he highlighted is 'Warrior of the Light' by Brazilian author Paulo Coelho. Prabowo shared that this book was given to him by his sister in the early 2000s, a period when he faced significant political challenges. He described the book as deeply personal and meaningful, feeling as though Coelho was speaking directly to him. Through these healing practices, Prabowo appears to be mentally preparing himself for the significant responsibilities of the presidency.
