Kampong Speu Governor Encourages More Chinese Investment in Industry, Agriculture, and Tourism

Kampong Speu Provincial Governor, Dr. Cheam Chansophoan, attended the ASEAN-Huaihua Economic and Trade Cooperation meeting in Nanning City, China, to present the province's economic potential to Chinese investors. He stated that Kampong Speu is currently receiving significant investment, which is creating numerous job opportunities for local residents, and that more investment projects are in the pipeline. The Governor attributed Kampong Speu's attractiveness to investors to its rich potential in industry, agriculture, and tourism, its good infrastructure, its diligent and loyal population, and the provincial authorities' commitment to facilitating and ensuring the safety of investors. In response, Chinese investors expressed their interest in establishing factories and enterprises in Kampong Speu and indicated their intention to encourage their partners in China to invest in the province. They plan to visit Kampong Speu to explore further investment opportunities in industry, agriculture, and tourism. Kampong Speu aims to revitalize its regional economy and create employment by deepening economic cooperation with China. Direct investment from China is expected to play a crucial role in Cambodia's economic development, particularly in the industrialization and infrastructure development of its provincial areas.
