It is reported that the KIA and KPDF allied forces launched their final attack and captured the Shwebo Myint camp at approximately 5:30 PM on August 3, and the military forces had to retreat in haste without being able to rescue their wounded. Following this, the military continued to launch attacks from the air with three attack aircraft and Y12 aircraft until nightfall. It has been learned from local sources that the military forces are accelerating their operations to launch counter-offensives on the morning of August 4, and the fighting continues to be intense. "The firing has not stopped from yesterday until this morning. We can also hear small arms fire. The Y12 has also been firing overhead since last night," a local source told the Ayeyarwaddy Times. It is reported that in villages such as Ngaba Gyi, Pantan, and Thaw Lon, located upstream of Shwegu Township, the sounds of heavy and small arms fire were loud for most of August 3, and the firing has continued non-stop until the morning of August 4. As the fighting situation is not improving at all, local social organizations have issued advisories urging local residents who have evacuated to distant locations not to return to Shwegu Township yet and to monitor the situation from a safe place. On July 29, heavy artillery shells fired by the military landed and exploded in Ngaba Gyi village, resulting in the death and injury of two people, including a 12-year-old child. In addition, houses, schools, and monasteries in Ngaba Gyi village have been damaged, and students who could not evacuate the village are currently attending classes in temporary shelters such as Ngaba Gyi No. 1 Primary School and other surrounding schools.
