Vietnamese community association established in South Korea to foster ties

A Vietnamese community association has been established in Asan, South Korea, aiming to strengthen ties among the approximately 350,000 Vietnamese nationals residing, working, and studying in the Republic of Korea (RoK). This community includes nearly 100,000 Vietnamese women in multicultural families and over 100,000 students. The establishment is intended to foster a stronger, more connected community and contribute to the growing partnership between Vietnam and the RoK. The Vietnamese Ambassador to the RoK, Vu Ho, noted that bilateral relations are currently enjoying the best conditions, underpinned by "favourable timing, geographical advantages, and strong public support." Vietnam consistently ranks high among long-term foreign arrivals to the RoK, highlighting the significant presence of Vietnamese nationals. The formation of this community association is expected to play a crucial role in supporting Vietnamese residents as they integrate into local society and build robust networks, fostering mutual support.
