Quang Ngai Province Boosts Private Sector Support: Behind the 8th Rank in BPI Index
Quang Ngai Province in Vietnam ranked 8th out of 34 provinces in the Private Economic Efficiency Index (BPI) for 2025. This achievement reflects initial successes in the province's support for the private sector, which it aims to further develop by placing it at the core of its growth strategy.
Quang Ngai Province in central Vietnam is actively implementing support measures to foster the development of its private economy. According to the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), Quang Ngai Province ranked 8th out of 34 provinces and cities nationwide in the Private Economic Efficiency Index (BPI) for 2025. This result indicates significant efforts by the province's business community and the initial effectiveness of its policies in supporting private economic development. The province aims to place the private economy at the center of its national growth strategy, recognizing it as a new engine for growth. To achieve this, Quang Ngai has proposed three key groups of solutions: first, implementing specific policies to promote private economic development; second, making the private economy the core of the growth strategy to maximize its potential; and third, strictly monitoring the implementation of private economic support policies to ensure their effectiveness. Under Vietnam's one-party system, the role of the private sector is increasingly emphasized in driving economic growth. The government is actively promoting the revitalization of private enterprises to reduce reliance on state-owned enterprises and build a more dynamic economic structure. Quang Ngai's initiatives align with these national policies and serve as a notable example of local-level implementation.
