However, it is not yet known where he is being detained. On June 26, Pu Lay Maung (aka Peter), the battalion commander, was shot at close range and killed while waiting to attend a meeting at the Yinmarbin District military base. The shooter was reportedly Bo Swar Thu Maung's personal assistant (PA), soldier Ng Phyo. Mizzima contacted Bo Swar Thu Maung's social media page to inquire about his detention status, but received no response. Currently, those involved in the case are being detained and investigated, and during the investigation period, the Deputy District Administrator will temporarily take over the duties of the Yinmarbin District, according to local sources.
