Hanoi Construction Corporation Chairman Expelled from Party

Vietnam's Central Inspection Committee has decided to expel Đậu Văn Diện, Chairman of the Hanoi Construction Corporation (Hancorp), and Deputy General Director Nguyễn Đức Toàn from the Party. The decision was made at the committee's 12th session on September 7. The inspection body concluded that both officials had degenerated in political ideology, morality, and lifestyle, and had violated Party regulations and state laws. They were found to have breached rules on corruption, waste, and negative practices prevention, as well as provisions for Party members and the responsibility to set an example. These violations resulted in very serious consequences, severely damaging the prestige of the Party organization, agencies, and units where they worked, thus warranting disciplinary action. At the end of June, Mr. Đậu Văn Diện was temporarily suspended from his position as Chairman of Hancorp without stated reasons. Mr. Diện, 58, holds a Master's degree in Business Administration. He joined Hancorp in 2014 and became Chairman of the Hancorp Board of Directors in March 2021. Hancorp, established in 1982, is an enterprise under the Ministry of Construction. In 2014, it transitioned to a joint-stock company model with a charter capital exceeding VND 1.41 trillion. Two years later, Hancorp's shares (HAN) were registered for trading on UPCoM. Currently, the company operates in sectors including real estate, construction, investment, services, and industrial production. Hancorp is also one of 10 members of the Vietur consortium participating in a VND 35 trillion package to construct and install equipment for the passenger terminal at Long Thanh International Airport. As of 2025, Hancorp has over 4,000 employees. Its total assets reached VND 6.43 trillion by the end of 2024. The average annual revenue for the 2020-2024 period was approximately VND 3.5 trillion.
