Cambodia Strengthens Infrastructure Cooperation with AIIB
Cambodian Minister of Public Works and Transport, Peng Ponea, met with Ms. Kim-See Lim, Director of Investment at the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), during his visit to China for the Global Sustainable Transport Forum. The discussions focused on project progress under AIIB financing and future cooperation, with both sides agreeing to strengthen their partnership.
On September 23, 2026, during his working visit to the People's Republic of China to attend the Global Sustainable Transport Forum 2026, H.E. Peng Ponea, Minister of Public Works and Transport, led a delegation from the Ministry to meet with Ms. Kim-See Lim, Director of Investment at the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB). The meeting aimed to (1) review the progress of projects under AIIB's credit framework, (2) examine the list of submitted projects, and (3) discuss future cooperation between the Ministry of Public Works and Transport and AIIB. As a result, both parties highly valued the partnership and good cooperation in the past and pledged to further strengthen their close collaboration to promote the efficient implementation of priority projects according to the established plan.
