Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia -- On July 12, 2026, activities aimed at rural development and citizen support were conducted in Chheu Teal village, Banteay Srey commune, Stung Treng district, Kampong Cham province. Led by Mr. Thang Viyutda, the working group responded to residents' requests by initiating the repair of a new gravel road, 600 meters in length. This is expected to contribute to improving local transportation and facilitating logistics. On the same day, Mr. Thang Viyutda presided over a meeting attended by approximately 220 party members. During the meeting, a message of encouragement from His Excellency Thao Chenda, Minister of State and head of the working group for Stung Treng district, was conveyed. He instructed the working group members at all levels to continue to strengthen their sense of responsibility and proactivity, and to maintain close contact with the citizens to address their needs in a timely manner. He emphasized that sincere service to the people, internal solidarity, and work efficiency are core factors in promoting confidence in the party. The work direction for July 2026 was also laid out, focusing on resolving challenges, strengthening the capacity of the working group, and increasing the effectiveness of communication with the citizens to gain an advantage for the upcoming elections. In response to the practical needs of the local area, Mr. Thang Viyutda decided to accept the request from party members in Chheu Teal village to assist in repairing the 600-meter red gravel road. He also provided additional funding to complete the construction of sanitary toilets within the Wat Pou Roang premises. Furthermore, donations and financial assistance were distributed to families requiring urgent aid. This included support for a family that had just welcomed twins (one boy, one girl), who received a small basket, milk powder, and some cash. Five impoverished families without support each received 20 kilograms of rice, canned fish, fish sauce, soy sauce, and some cash. Financial and material support was also provided to frontline forces, commune council members, commune youth, administrative police officers, community defenders, village chiefs, deputy village chiefs, village assistants, and party family leaders as encouragement. These activities demonstrate the Cambodian government's commitment to enhancing rural infrastructure and improving the lives of its citizens.
