Vietnam's Southwest Border Focuses on Collecting Martyrs' Remains: National Duty and Public Memory

Tay Ninh province in Vietnam's southwestern border region has designated the '500-Day-and-Night Campaign' for the search, collection, and identification of martyrs' remains as a paramount political task. This is considered a sacred responsibility of the current generation towards those who sacrificed for the country, a command from the heart. Tay Ninh province is determined to successfully implement this 500-day operation. This initiative plays a crucial role in fostering the nation's historical memory and national solidarity. Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan also visited Tay Ninh province to pay tribute to the heroes and martyrs. Furthermore, Inspection Team No. 19 of the Politburo held a working session with the Standing Committee of the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee to review the progress of this campaign. The 'Plan for implementing activities to commemorate the 80th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day' has also been issued, with efforts underway to restore memories for the relatives of martyrs. This campaign goes beyond mere remains collection; it also embodies aspects of national integration and patriotism cultivation under Vietnam's one-party system, illustrating how the nation remembers past sacrifices and passes them on to future generations.
