Sea Pines Bring Shade to Kebumen Coast, Protecting Farmers' Crops

Sea pines (Casuarina equisetifolia) planted along the coast of Lembupurwo Village, Mirit District, Kebumen Regency, Central Java, are providing shade and protecting crops from strong winds and salt spray. This afforestation initiative, started in 2008, now covers 70 hectares, boosting agricultural productivity in the region.
