Philippines Launches New Project for Sustainable Fisheries, Bolstering Coastal Resilience

The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) in the Ilocos region launched the 2026 FishCoRe Salimbayan in La Union, promoting sustainable fisheries. This initiative under the Philippine Fisheries and Coastal Resiliency Project (FishCoRe) aims to enhance coastal resilience with participation from fisherfolk, youth, and various organizations.
