Vietnam: Corporate Director Charged with Embezzling Billions in Real Estate Investment Fraud

In Ho Chi Minh City, the CEO of Nha Tien Phat Real Estate Company has been indicted for allegedly defrauding investors of approximately VND 127 billion (around $5.2 million USD). The CEO is accused of collecting funds for short-term rental apartment projects on unpermitted land, promising high returns. He also claims to have paid over VND 3 billion ($150,000 USD) to avoid criminal prosecution.
