Mondulkiri Province Supports Indigenous Soldier Facing Health Issues During Border Mission

Mondulkiri provincial authorities have provided financial aid and essential supplies to an indigenous soldier, Nheach Vinda, who is facing severe health problems sustained while on a mission to protect the nation's territorial integrity and sovereignty. The intervention was carried out by the administration team of Ou Reang District, following instructions from Mondulkiri Governor Kong Kimny. The delegation visited the soldier at the Sen Monorom Provincial Referral Hospital on August 3rd. Vinda, 36, who resides in Po Chap village, Dak Dam commune, Ou Reang district, was stationed on the front lines. He is currently recuperating under the dedicated care of medical professionals. During the visit, Ou Reang District Governor Siek Munny stated that the sacrifices of military forces in defending the nation are invaluable acts of heroism deserving of attention and support from authorities at all levels. He affirmed that the provincial administration and local authorities will continue to provide assistance to soldiers and their families encountering difficulties in their livelihoods or health issues, serving as encouragement for them to continue their national service missions. Although the Cambodia-Thailand war has ceased following peace agreements, Cambodian military forces continue to maintain strong positions along the border to safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
