Over 150 resistance forces call to target common enemy without resolving differences with weapons

Ayeyarwaddy Times June 29 Forces resisting the coup military junta have launched a joint campaign, with 156 resistance groups calling for them to focus on the common enemy based on unity, rather than resolving internal differences through armed means. In relation to the disagreements and conflicts that have arisen among the forces as the resistance period has prolonged, these groups announced yesterday, June 28, that they would launch a campaign titled "Targeting the Common Enemy and Moving Towards Unity" and called for cooperation. They urged that attempting to resolve these issues through armed means could slow down the momentum of the resistance movement and give the common enemy, the military junta, a lifeline, and therefore political equality and mutual respect and recognition should be practiced. According to historical lessons, when resistance forces unite, they achieve victory, and when internal unity breaks down, they are distanced from victory. Therefore, it is stated that it is the most crucial time to inevitably launch the movement "Targeting the Common Enemy and Moving Towards Unity." Unity is the most powerful weapon, and in this campaign, which includes three points, the aforementioned 156 groups have called for all resistance fighters, political forces, and the public to cooperate positively. The points demanded by the political forces are that the resistance movement and political forces jointly prevent armed resolutions among themselves, fairly resolve and handle violations, and actively support political discussions and negotiations. Furthermore, point (2) is for professionals, intellectuals, and artists to assist in awareness-raising and mobilization activities through their respective fields, without losing sight of the objective, on social media and on the ground. Point (3) is for the entire public to cooperate in forming public pressure on the movement by widely sharing the campaign's slogans, posters, and articles online and on the ground. This movement is not intended to blame anyone, but for all of us to walk together towards the goal with unity, and it is conveyed that everyone is called upon to actively cooperate in their capable fields and in free forms.
