President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. urged foreign investors to place their trust in the Philippines during the 2026 Luzon Economic Corridor Investment Forum. Co-hosted with the US and Japan, the event highlighted the country's stability, infrastructure, and talent, with Marcos emphasizing that trust is earned through consistent action.

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Thursday urged foreign investors and business leaders to put their trust in the Philippines, inviting them to bring their capital and expertise to the country and help develop Filipino talent. Marcos made the pitch during the 2026 Luzon Economic Corridor Investment Forum, an event co-hosted by the Philippines, the United States, and Japan that brought together hundreds of investors, industry leaders, and government officials to explore investment opportunities. “To the investors and business leaders here today: I invite you to build with us. Build your next enterprise in the Philippines. Bring your capital, technology, your expertise. Develop Filipino talent and local suppliers. Form lasting partnerships with our businesses and communities,” Marcos said. “You can place your trust in the Philippines. We know that trust is earned through consistent action,” he added. Marcos said the Philippines would continue providing the stability, infrastructure, talent, and responsive government needed to support long-term investments. “We want you to succeed here because your success will create opportunities for our people,” Marcos said. “We want you to regard the Philippines not simply as another market, but as a trusted partner and a place where you can build, innovate, and grow for generations,” he added. Marcos also said the Philippines was ready to welcome potential partnerships and investments. “Let us turn confidence into firm commitments, commitments into enduring partnerships, and partnerships into progress that our people can see and feel,” he said. “Come and build with us. Invest in the Filipino. Place your trust in the Philippines. And together, let us build a more connected and competitive Luzon—and through it, a stronger and more inclusive Philippines,” he added. The Luzon Economic Corridor connects Subic Bay, Clark, Manila, and Batangas, forming the country’s largest economic corridor and one of its key engines of growth.
