Myanmar Nationwide Tamil Hindu Foundation (Central) donates robes and alms to monks

A ceremony was held at Mogok Som Sayang in Kabar Aye Pagoda, Yangon, on the morning of July 5, where the Myanmar Nationwide Tamil Hindu Foundation (Central) donated robes for the 22nd Waso season and alms to the monks of the State Pariyatti Sasana University (Yangon). Robes for the Waso season and Nawakamma donations were presented to the State Pariyatti Sasana University (Yangon) Vice-Chancellor, Agga Maha Pandita, Agga Maha Saddhamma Jotika, Dr. Bhaddanta Jotika, and 11 accompanying monks, and alms were served to over 450 monks. This marks the 22nd occasion of donating Waso robes and alms to the monks of the State Pariyatti Sasana University (Yangon), and the Myanmar Nationwide Tamil Hindu Foundation (Central) is also providing donations in areas needed by the state, according to U Thein Lwin, Chairman of the Myanmar Nationwide Tamil Hindu Foundation (Central). The ceremony for donating Waso robes and alms was organized by the Myanmar Nationwide Tamil Hindu Foundation (Central), and the Shwe San Lwin Company family also donated Waso robes. Generous donors also contributed robes and Nawakamma funds. Lunch was also served to the guests who attended the 22nd Waso robe and alms donation ceremony. It is known that the Myanmar Nationwide Tamil Hindu Foundation (Central) also spends over 300 million kyats annually to provide free meals at the Pilakhat Pagoda Festival. In addition, it is known that the foundation has provided support to over 700 university students, including those from the University of Medicine, University of Dental Medicine, National Management College, and University of Foreign Languages. In addition to honoring university entrance exam passers, the foundation is also conducting and teaching subject-specific and computer training courses for students who are about to enter university.
