Ombudsman Inspects Cibinong Prison, Director General of Corrections Vows Action Against Violating Officers

Indonesia's Ombudsman conducted a surprise on-site inspection (Sidak) at Cibinong Prison (Lapas Cibinong) located in Bogor Regency. This inspection is understood to be part of efforts to address public complaints and concerns regarding the prison's operational conditions and the treatment of inmates. Following the inspection, the Director General of Corrections (Ditjenpas) stated that strict action would be taken against any officers proven to have committed violations or negligence in their duties. The Director General emphasized that maintaining discipline among prison staff and ensuring fair and humane treatment for inmates are top priorities.
