JAKARTA - ZTE Corporation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PT XLSMART Telecom Sejahtera Tbk (XLSMART) at the MWC Shanghai 2026 event, to expand strategic collaboration in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI), 5G, and Fixed Wireless Access (FWA). This agreement will focus on building a smarter network capability, increasing operational efficiency, strengthening customer experience, and developing new broadband opportunities in Indonesia. "Through collaboration with XLSMART, we combine ZTE's strengths in innovation, AI-based networks, 5G, and FWA to build a smarter, more efficient, and customer-centric network," said Senior Vice President of ZTE, James Zhang in his statement. The two companies will jointly develop end-to-end AI capabilities in the Radio Access Network, Transport Network, Core Network, and Network Operations. AI-based automation and intelligent analytics will analyze network conditions, anticipate changes in traffic demand, and optimize network resources more dynamically. This approach will help XLSMART simplify network operations, increase service agility, and respond to changes in traffic demand more effectively.
