Frenchman's deportation order appealed by Thai wife

Ms. Jindarat, the Thai wife of Frenchman Kevin Dimino, who has been ordered deported by Thai authorities on grounds of posing a threat to national security, formally submitted an appeal against the order on September 11. She was accompanied by Mr. Akkarawut Kraisrisombat, leader of the "Thai Mai Thon" (Thais Won't Stand for It) group, and officials from the Ministry of Interior. Akkarawut stated that while he does not object to deportation laws, their procedures must be clear, fair, and realistic. Dimino is reportedly being deported over a confrontation with some Israelis and a traffic violation. However, Jindarat asserts that her husband acted solely to protect her from threats and harassment by a group of Israeli individuals. Jindarat expressed concern that with Dimino currently in detention, gathering necessary witnesses and evidence for the appeal would be challenging. She argued that he should have the right to be released from custody to collect evidence and prove his innocence. Furthermore, she revealed that she has been receiving threats, including vows to rape and kill her husband, over the past few days. She questioned the government about whether her safety would be guaranteed if Dimino were deported. She indicated that accepting the deportation or agreeing to house arrest would be difficult if her safety could not be assured.
