China Opens Military Support and Training Center in Laos, Expanding Regional Security Footprint

The Chinese military has inaugurated a new logistics and training center in northern Laos, marking its first overseas air force presence and extending its regional security footprint, similar to a naval facility in Cambodia. China's Ministry of Defense stated the center aims to enhance pilot training for the Lao air force and is not directed against any third party.
