Prabowo: Intelligence Not From School, Mentions Bahlil's University

President Prabowo Subianto and Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia have jointly stated that an individual's quality is not determined by the name of their alma mater, but rather by their capabilities, hard work, and character. Bahlil Lahadalia remarked during the launch and discussion of his book, "10 Karya Nyata untuk Negeri: Setengah Abad Bahlil Lahadalia," that graduates from prestigious universities are not automatically more worthy of being inspirational figures compared to those from ordinary institutions. "Because it is not absolute that people who studied at big campuses, then only they are worthy for us to make as inspiration. Because for me, a campus does not guarantee a person's quality," Bahlil said. He further explained that what guarantees a person's quality is the individual themselves, emphasizing that one's work depends on their ability to perform diligently and produce impactful results for the nation. Echoing this sentiment, Prabowo stated that intelligence is not derived from schooling, a fact he believes has been proven repeatedly. "Intelligence is not from school, in my opinion, intelligence is not from school, and this has been proven many times. Today, we prove it again, Mr. Bahlil," Prabowo said, referencing Bahlil's career. Prabowo pointed out that Bahlil's university is not listed on Google, noting that Bahlil pursued his undergraduate studies at the Port Mumbai College of Economics in Jayapura. "I think his school is not too famous, Mr. Bahlil. If you search on Google, his campus no longer exists. We have proven this everywhere. Where you study does not guarantee," Prabowo asserted.
