Algeria Urges Vietnam to Accelerate Implementation of Agreed Commitments

Algerian Foreign Minister Abdelkader Messahel highly praised the new developments in bilateral relations between Algeria and Vietnam, particularly since the establishment of their strategic partnership. The minister stated that an important task at present is to bring economic cooperation in line with the quality of their political relations and the depth of their historical ties. This aligns with efforts by businesses in both Vietnam and Algeria to strengthen trade links and explore broader investment cooperation. Significant untapped potential exists for Vietnamese agricultural exports in the Algerian market. The Vietnamese Ambassador to Algeria has also expressed that Vietnam treasures its ties with Algeria, indicating a mutual desire to further deepen economic cooperation based on strong political and historical relations. Under Vietnam's one-party system, foreign policy prioritizes national stability and economic growth. Deepening strategic partnerships aims to maximize economic benefits and expand international influence. Strengthening ties with African nations like Algeria can also be seen as a strategy to diversify dependencies and broaden diplomatic options, particularly in relation to China.
