Cambodia Reviews Progress on Sustainable Development Goals
Cambodia held an inter-ministerial committee meeting on July 14, 2026, to review progress on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). On July 14, 2026, Cambodia convened a meeting of the Inter-Ministerial Committee for the Implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the Ministry of Planning. The meeting aimed to review and discuss the progress report on Cambodia's Sustainable Development Goals for 2024-2025. The meeting was chaired by Minister of Planning, H.E. Bin Trachhey, and attended by Ms. Vladanka Andreeva, UN Resident Coordinator in Cambodia, representatives from various ministries and government institutions, and development partners. The primary objective of this meeting was to assess the progress in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a global plan for 2030. This progress report is the result of joint cooperation between the United Nations in Cambodia and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), with active data contributions from relevant Cambodian government ministries and institutions. Based on the report, the progress assessment was conducted using a total of 193 indicators, including 86 Cambodia SDG (CSDG) indicators and 107 global indicators with specific data for Cambodia. Out of 172 goals, only 127 are currently measurable. Among these, 32.3% are progressing well, 50.4% require rapid acceleration, and 17.3% are regressing. Minister H.E. Bin Trachhey delivered welcoming remarks and summarized the meeting, outlining the future direction to accelerate the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals in line with the set plan. This meeting reflects the strong commitment of the Royal Government of Cambodia to transparently track and evaluate national development progress based on concrete data, ensuring sustainable and inclusive development for all citizens.
