Housekeeper mother and daughter arrested for murdering homeowner and stealing belongings

It has been learned from the Myanmar Police Force that a housekeeper and her daughter, who murdered their homeowner and stole belongings, were identified and arrested on September 8 in Botataung Township, Yangon Region. The incident reportedly occurred around 9:45 PM on September 7, when the housekeeper Tin Nwe and her daughter Aye Myat Mon (alias Thuthu) allegedly murdered their homeowner Daw Thein Myint, who resides in Ward 8, Botataung Township, Yangon Region, by pressing a pillow against her face in the living room in front of her house. After the alleged murder, they fled with a pair of diamond earrings, a platinum necklace, a Samsung A20 mobile phone, and a Samsung tablet that the deceased was wearing. Based on the complaint filed by Daw Thein Myint's husband, U Khin Maung, seeking legal action, a case was opened at the Botataung Myoma Police Station, and investigations were carried out to apprehend the perpetrators, it was learned. As a result of the investigations conducted to apprehend the perpetrators, the two accused, the housekeeper and her daughter, who allegedly murdered the homeowner and stole jewelry and phones, were identified and arrested on September 8 along with the evidence, and further legal proceedings are underway, it was learned.
