In Kampong Cham province, Cambodia, a ceremony was held on September 9, 2026, to mark the official assumption of duties by the new Deputy Governor of Chamkar Leu district. Deputy Governor Khon Pros urged authorities at all levels within the district to significantly enhance their attention to ensuring public security and order in their respective areas. He specifically emphasized the need to strengthen the implementation of the 'Safe Village-Commune' policy, which is considered a core element for local economic development.
