Kampong Cham Authorities Urged to Enhance Security and Public Services

In Kampong Cham province, Cambodia, a ceremony was held on September 9, 2026, to mark the official assumption of duties by the new Deputy Governor of Chamkar Leu district. Deputy Governor Khon Pros urged authorities at all levels within the district to significantly enhance their attention to ensuring public security and order in their respective areas. He specifically emphasized the need to strengthen the implementation of the 'Safe Village-Commune' policy, which is considered a core element for local economic development. Furthermore, he called for more effective delivery of public services to the citizens, aiming to bolster confidence in the leadership of the Cambodian government and ensure success in upcoming elections. Addressing the newly appointed Deputy Governor of Chamkar Leu district, Mr. Tieng Touch (rank: Nai Kramkar Class 6), Mr. Khon Pros also advised him and all other leading officials and civil servants to foster internal solidarity, uphold professional ethics, and diligently serve the interests of the local population.
