A doctor in Bandung, West Java, identified as Andre, has been charged with assaulting his girlfriend, GGMB. The alleged assault reportedly stemmed from a dispute over picking up food. According to DetikJabar, the incident occurred on July 7. Andre had contacted his girlfriend, GGMB, who is also a doctor, to come to his residence in the Gegerkalong area. Upon GGMB's arrival at a friend's condominium near Andre's residence, she was reportedly asked by Andre to tidy up his room and order food. When the food arrived around 10:00 PM, Andre allegedly asked GGMB to pick it up from the front of the condominium, but she refused, citing fatigue. This refusal reportedly enraged Andre, who then threw a plastic bottle at GGMB and hit her thigh. Andre then brought the food back to the room. Seeing GGMB crying, he allegedly became more agitated, striking her left cheek, strangling her neck, and slapping her face, including her eye. GGMB reportedly resisted but was further assaulted by Andre. Andre is also accused of holding GGMB captive in his condominium for one night. GGMB managed to escape after a female friend visited her. The alleged actions resulted in GGMB sustaining several injuries. Andre is being prosecuted under Article 466 Paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code, in conjunction with Law Number 1 of 2026 concerning the Adjustment of Criminal Sanctions. The case is being heard at the Bandung District Court. Source: Detik
