Vietnam AI Festival 2026 to Spotlight Rise of Autonomous AI Agents

The Vietnam AI Festival 2026 is set to pivot its focus towards AI agents capable of autonomous planning, tool coordination, and task execution, a trend widely regarded as the next frontier in global AI development. This shift aims to bridge the gap between AI research and real-world deployment in Vietnam. Directed by the Ministry of Science and Technology and organized by VnExpress with support from Vietnam National University Hanoi and FPT Online, the festival, now in its ninth year, serves as a crucial platform for showcasing technology and driving practical AI adoption. It provides a space for businesses to introduce solutions, foster partnerships, and explore opportunities for product development, commercialization, networking, and investment. The event also contributes to the national goal of making AI a key driver of growth, aligning with Resolution 57 on national science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation. AI continues its rapid expansion globally, with nine major tech corporations investing a combined $122 billion in 2025 alone. Vietnam ranks among the top 40 countries in AI adoption rates, with ongoing efforts to refine its legal framework to support sector development. This year's festival will feature an AI Summit, workshops, an exhibition, and competitions, convening representatives from government ministries, local authorities, tech companies, AI startups, research institutes, investment funds, and the broader tech community. Activities are designed for students, engineers, programmers, and AI enthusiasts, focusing on trend sharing, networking, and hands-on technology experiences. Latest AI technologies and live application demonstrations will be on display, alongside workshops and thematic seminars exploring how AI can be applied to solve real-world problems. Last year's event, held at the National Convention Center in Hanoi, attracted over 1,300 delegates and 50 local and international companies.
