Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman Meets Korean 'Friends,' Deepening Bilateral Ties

On the afternoon of September 6 (local time) in Seoul, as part of his official visit to South Korea, Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man met with Korean 'friends.' During the meeting, Chairman Tran Thanh Man informed them about some outstanding results in Vietnam-South Korea relations after nearly 35 years of establishing diplomatic ties. He emphasized that among these common achievements, there were very important contributions from South Korean non-governmental organizations (NGOs), associations, scientists, and businesses. This meeting served as an opportunity to reaffirm the long-standing cooperative relationship between Vietnam and South Korea, and the support from various entities in South Korea for its development. Vietnam's foreign policy under its one-party system prioritizes economic growth and strengthening relations with the international community, with relations with South Korea being one of its important pillars. Economic cooperation, in particular, has greatly contributed to the expansion of South Korean corporate investment in Vietnam and the increase of exports from Vietnam. Furthermore, the revitalization of people-to-people exchanges has also contributed to the deepening of bilateral relations.
