River water levels exceed warning levels in 4 cities

Similarly, the Salween River in Hpa-an city is about 3 feet 3 inches above the warning level, and although it may decrease by about 6 inches within the next day, it is expected to remain above the warning level. The Sittang River in Madaw city is about 2 feet 9 inches above the warning level, and although it may decrease by about 6 inches within the next day, it is expected to remain above the warning level. Furthermore, the Bago River in Bago city is about 1 foot 5 inches above the warning level, and although it may decrease by about 6 inches within the next day, it is expected to remain above the warning level, according to the announcement. Therefore, the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology has issued a warning for residents living near riverbanks and in low-lying areas within Kale, Hpa-an, Bago, and Madaw townships to evacuate to safe places from flood risks.
