Over 5,000 traffic violations were recorded on the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway between January and April 2026. Speeding remains the primary offense, while 52 accidents resulted in 32 deaths and 63 injuries. Authorities are intensifying enforcement to curb the rising toll.
