Kampot Governor Donates Food and Supplies to Regional Military Unit

Kampot Governor Noun Pharat on September 13 donated 3 tons of rice and other food and supplies to the intervention forces of the Kompot Regional Military Operations Command. The donation aims to support the forces in their mission to protect territorial integrity and to prepare for intervention and rescue operations for citizens affected by various disasters in Kampot province. The handover ceremony took place at the Regional Military Operations Command (Fourth Military Region) under the presidency of Major General Som Sun, Commander of the Regional Military Operations Command, with the participation of many leaders, officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers. Lieutenant Colonel Sun Samon, Chief of the First Office of the Kompot Regional Military Operations Command, reported on the intervention forces' preparedness plans, means, equipment, and command structure. His report highlighted the tasks of protecting territorial integrity and the intervention forces' role in rescuing citizens from various disasters, particularly floods, should they occur within Kampot province. Major General Som Sun expressed his profound gratitude to Governor Noun Pharat for his continuous attention and support in addressing all kinds of difficulties faced by the forces of the Kompot Regional Military Operations Command. He noted that the governor's support facilitates the forces' missions in protecting territorial integrity, preventing and cracking down on natural resource crimes, and rescuing citizens affected by disasters, both in the past and present. Major General Som Sun also commended all the forces of the Kompot Regional Military Operations Command for their strict adherence to the orders of all levels of leadership within the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces. He praised their timely and highly effective interventions in protecting territorial integrity, preventing and cracking down on natural resource crimes, and rescuing citizens from disasters, achievements that have earned admiration from the general public in Kampot province. Major General Som Sun assigned important tasks to all intervention forces, urging them to remain fully prepared with adequate means and equipment to respond promptly and effectively to orders from all levels of leadership within the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces. He also emphasized the importance of strictly adhering to the law on the status and general discipline of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces and maintaining high unity and solidarity while performing their duties. During the event, Major General Som Sun, representing Governor Noun Pharat, handed over 3 tons of rice, 50 boxes of instant noodles, and other food and supplies to the intervention forces. Concurrently, the Kompot Regional Military Operations Command also contributed some funds to the intervention forces to support their operations with a high sense of responsibility and to achieve success for the nation and the Cambodian people.
