The Cambodian Red Cross on June 29, 2026, inaugurated a basic training course on international humanitarian law, fundamental principles of the Red Cross Movement, youth network management, and elementary first aid at the Royal University of Phnom Penh. Following the opening ceremony, the 200 new Cambodian Red Cross youth members will be divided into four different classes to receive basic knowledge on elementary first aid, leadership skills, the role in leading the Cambodian Red Cross Youth Club, international humanitarian law, the seven fundamental principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, and work to promote traffic safety, infectious and non-infectious diseases. The training will take place from June 29-30, 2026, on the university campus, with technical support from headquarters officials and elementary first aid instructors from the Asia Europe University Cambodian Red Cross Youth.
