Pyithu Hluttaw Session: 3rd day of 3rd regular session of 3rd Pyithu Hluttaw held

The third day of the Third Regular Session of the Third Pyithu Hluttaw was held at 10 a.m. today, September 23rd, at the Pyithu Hluttaw Meeting Hall in Nay Pyi Taw. Of the 351 Hluttaw representatives eligible to attend, 335 were present. In accordance with the agenda, the question-and-answer session commenced. Five questions were raised, including questions from U Tint Lwin of Launglon Constituency, who asked whether there were plans to identify small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in rural areas of Tanintharyi Region and facilitate market linkages for them, U Naing Min Oo of Kyangin Constituency, who asked whether there were plans to increase the minimum wage for workers, revise the basic wage system, formulate policies to gradually transition to a living-wage standard, and provide loan assistance, technical support and tax incentives in conjunction with increases in the minimum wage, Dr Shwe Pyi Soe of Dagon Myothit (Seikkan) Constituency, who asked what measures the State was taking to create employment opportunities and prevent the loss of human resources, Daw San San Htay of Dagon Myothit (South) Constituency, who asked whether district-level training centers could be established for persons with disabilities in Dagon Myothit (South) Township and whether free basic healthcare services could be provided at accessible hospitals and U Thet Naing Oo of Hpa-an Constituency, who asked what measures had been put in place to make the rehabilitation and resettlement of internally displaced persons (IDPs) more effective and successful. The questions were answered by Union Minister for Industry and MSMEs Development Dr. Charlie Than, Deputy Minister for Labour U Maung Maung Than and Deputy Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Than Soe, it was reported.
