FPT Donates 9 Digital Libraries and AI Learning Accounts to Dien Bien Students

FPT Group, a Vietnamese technology conglomerate, has donated digital libraries to nine primary and secondary schools in Dien Bien province. This initiative aims to enhance students' access to digital knowledge and AI technology. The donation ceremony was held at the Thanh Nua Primary and Secondary Boarding School in Thanh Nưa commune, Điện Biên province, coinciding with the start of the new academic year. This school is one of nine boarding schools in the province's border areas to receive the digital library sponsorship, valued at a total of VND 900 million (approximately USD 36,000). Each digital library is equipped with 15 tablets and headphones, along with online learning accounts on the Vuihoc platform, aligned with Vietnam's general education curriculum. The platform features pre-installed digital content and reference materials, including interactive lectures, practice exercises, videos, storytelling, projects, and self-challenges. In addition to the digital libraries, FPT is also providing AI learning accounts to all students in Dien Bien province. This AI learning program, developed by FPT Education Organization, is delivered online and emphasizes AI ethics and responsibilities from the initial lessons throughout the course. Mr. Nguyen Duc Hong, Principal of Thanh Nua Primary and Secondary Boarding School, stated that the digital libraries and AI learning accounts are practical learning resources, especially for students in border areas. This provides an opportunity for them to adapt to and develop skills in using technology for their studies. Ms. Tran Thi Bich Hang, Chairwoman of FPT's K-12 Education Block, expressed her hope: "We want every student in Dien Bien, whether in the city or in the highlands, to have equal access to AI. They will not only be users of AI but also understand it, master it, and use it to solve the problems of their homeland." This effort to equip digital learning infrastructure and provide AI training content aligns with Resolution No. 71 of the Politburo on breakthrough development in education and training. The initiative aims to enhance STEM capabilities, AI knowledge, and skills among students, thereby narrowing the digital education gap, particularly for those in border regions. From 2023 to 2025, FPT Group, in collaboration with Hope Foundation (Quỹ Hy vọng) and Vuihoc, plans to donate digital libraries to four schools in Dien Bien and nearly 120 other schools nationwide.
