Quang Ngai Province Steps Up Efforts in Search, Collection, and Identification of Martyrs' Remains

On the morning of July 13, in Kon Tum ward, Quang Ngai Province, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee worked with the province's functional sectors on the results of searching for, collecting, and identifying the remains of martyrs. The meeting, led by the Provincial Party Standing Committee, was held to review the current status and future plans for the remains collection mission. During the meeting, achievements obtained from the activities so far were reported. The progress of the "Campaign to Search for, Collect, and Identify the Remains of Martyrs," which lasted for 118 days and nights, was particularly emphasized. This campaign aims to honor the heroes who made significant contributions to the nation, accurately identify their remains, and return them to their families. Quang Ngai Province has demonstrated a proactive stance in this crucial humanitarian endeavor. Quang Ngai Province also offered incense and paid tribute to the martyrs at the Truong Son Martyrs' Memorial Temple, expressing gratitude to the fallen heroes. This activity holds significant meaning in fostering national memory and gratitude, which should be passed down from generations who experienced intense wars like the Vietnam War to the next. The identification of remains is not merely a material discovery but also a spiritual process to restore the dignity of lost lives and bring peace to their families. Under its one-party system, Vietnam prioritizes national development and the improvement of citizens' lives. Such remains collection activities can be interpreted as part of efforts to strengthen national unity and enhance social cohesion. Furthermore, amidst continuous economic growth, it is an indispensable element in healing the scars of past wars and building a social foundation for moving forward. In its relations with China, strengthening domestic unity is also crucial for maintaining Vietnam's stable position in the international community, given the complex historical background.
